My Hero

by
Brian McGray

Today young people are searching for heroes and unfortunately there arenât many around. Everywhere we look, our heroâs are being taken away by drugs, money and scandals. There is however, one hero that we can always count on. Someone who will always be there to save the day. His name is God.

He is the greatest hero who has ever lived. His powers go far beyond what any other hero could ever dream of doing. Through the ages people have called on him and He has: ãDivided seas, rolled up flowing rivers, and made flinty rocks gush into fountains. He has quenched flames of fire, muzzled lions, disarmed vipers and poisons, burst open iron gates and recalled souls from eternity. He has conquered the strongest devils and commanded legions of angels down from heaven. God has bridled and chained the raging passions of men and destroyed vast armies of proud, daring, blustering atheists. He has brought one man from the bottom of the sea and carried another in a chariot of fire to heaven.ä *

No hero on earth or in any part of the universe has that kind of power. And there is more. God through his son Jesus wants to be our personal hero. He wants to help you through every part of your day. All you have to do is make the call. Set aside time every day and teach your kids how to pray. Use prayer to show your youngsters how to get a REAL super-hero in their life.
